Galvanized Steel - GI , GP and GA

Galvanized steel products undergo thorough cleansing and heat treatment of rolled coils prior to immersion in a bath of molten zinc. Through this process, the coils are plated with zinc only (GI), zinc and iron (GA) or zinc, aluminium and magnesium (PosMAC – POSCOs’ Patent and Trademark Brand).

Galvanized steel is a durable, rust-resistant material with a silver-grey finish. Its protective zinc coating makes it ideal for outdoor use, and it can be left unpainted or decorated. It is cost-effective and low maintenance, perfect for construction and industrial projects.

We deliver a wide range of galvanized steel products according to customer specifications and needs in terms of plating, quantity, lubrication and post-treatment. With good resistance to corrosion, formability, weldability, printability and other useful features, galvanized steel is increasingly used in many areas including civil engineering, architecture and automotives industries.

GI/GI(H)

Galvanization of cold-rolled plates (GI) and hot-rolled plates (GI(H)) involves immersing them in molten zinc, which solidifies to form a surface with finely suppressed crystallization. This process ensures excellent plating reliability, rust inhibition, and cost-effectiveness, making it indispensable across various industries.

GA-GAH

GA/GA(H)

GA is applied to the surface of cold-rolled steel, while GA(H) is applied to hot-rolled steel surfaces. Upon heating, the base plate and zinc undergo diffusion to create a durable alloy coating containing 9 to 13 percent iron. Known for its excellent weldability, this coating is widely utilized in automotive parts and beyond.

Galvanized Steel - Post Treatment

The post-treatment process includes applying a protective film to zinc or Zn-Mg-Al coated steel plates, extending their lifespan by safeguarding the substrate steel. This enhances corrosion resistance and other properties such as resistance to contamination and fingerprints, making it highly suitable for a wide range of applications.

Lubricant Steel

This innovative product eliminates the necessity for lubrication during press forming in motor vehicle manufacturing. It involves coating GA or GI steel plates with phosphate or non-phosphate inorganic lubricant films to enhance press forming capabilities. Beyond lubrication, it offers excellent weldability, sealer adhesiveness, phosphate processability, paintability, and corrosion resistance, making it indispensable for automotive components demanding high formability.
